The Grand Opening is Sun. May 21st from
2 to 4 pm with the pool membership drawing at 3:00.
We'll have food (cookies, lemonade) & fun. The
ride on toys are still a work in progress, but the main
playground structure is ready to go. |

We have had a few changes to the playground plans--here
is the new plan.

Sat April 22-- 9-12

Augar holes: We will only be needing a few people, if you are scheduled
for that day, I will be contacting you |

Need about 5 to7 people to move equipment from Melissa's to
playground. If you haven't been able to help on the install
day, this would be perfect. Please give me a
call if you can help. |

Lay landscape cloth & mulch & borders
This is what we were planning to do on the 22, but we found
out that this is better to do after. I am needing
fresh volunteers for this date. Please contact me if

3/18/06:
With the help of the neighborhood and corporate sponsors,
the playground committee was able to purchase a new play
system. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated or
helped in any way. We do have a small shortfall on our
budget, so if you have not donated this would be a great
time to consider making a financial contribution. We are now
ready to install the system and are in need of volunteers. .
We are hoping to complete site preparation and equipment
installation over the weekends of April 22nd and April
29th - weather permitting. Here is a description of our
plans, and who we would need to help.
April 22nd : - Volunteers to lay landscape cloth
and site prep. (This would be a perfect community service
project for a neighborhood high schooler.)
April 29th and 30th: Saturday-CONSTRUCTION
DAY-Construction of play set & moving swings--At least
10 adult volunteers and a supervisor (Someone with
construction experience to oversee the job)
Sunday-Volunteers to spread mulch (highschoolers would be
great)
Be on the look out for an info drop with the corporate
sponsors and more playground details coming soon.
