Minutes of Meeting
Copperfield Neighborhood Association
June 1, 2004
CALL TO ORDER: 6:15 by James Wagers. The following board members were
present: James Wagers-President, Susan Potter-Treasurer, Laura
Marlowe-Secretary, Mark Yates-Property Manager, and Charlie Gancio-Social
Director.
MINUTES: May 4, 2004 Minutes reviewed. Motion to approve
minutes by Sherry Quisenberry, Second by Susan Potter. Approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
- Central Bank account
balance: $86,793.01
- $5,300.00 still due for
2004 CNA dues
- $1,600.00 still due for
2003 CNA dues
- Third notices for the 2004
CNA dues to be mailed out at the end of the week of June 6th.
- Extension was filed for
CNA Tax Returns.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:
- Looking for volunteers to
paint tennis courts.
- Sprinkler repairs are
being done and light bulbs are being replaced.
- Grill repairs should be
finished in a few weeks.
- $5,700.00 CNA property tax
bill paid 10/03 was discussed by Mark Yates with Debbie Warth of the PVA
Admin. The bill was from 11/01/03 – 6/30/04. CNA will not have to pay property
taxes in the future due to our Non-Profit status.
- Motion by Mark Yates to
pay Lawn Solutions for ground maintenance on an annual budget of $9,885
this is an annual savings of $4,500.00. Second by Laura Marlowe.
Approved.
- Motion by Laura Marlowe
for the purchase of summer flowers for the neighborhood front entrance,
not to exceed $500.00. Second by Susan Potter. Approved.
- Discussion on getting bids
from Landscape Architect firms for the future seasonal landscaping plans
of the front neighborhood entrance.
FACILITIES COMMITTEE:
- Minutes from secretary to
be posted in the book at the Clubhouse and on the web page.
- Pool memberships stand at
180 to date.
- Snack Bar is getting a
favorable response.
- Larry Young is working on
5 Year Plan
- Motion by Sherry
Quisenberry to spend up to $500.00 on the purchase of 2 more picnic tables
and 3 more umbrellas and bases for the short term seating solution in the
area outside the pool.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE:
- July 4th event
activities are in the works.
- Motion by Sherry
Quisenberry to approve $650.00 for the budget for expenses related to the
July 4th parade, games, prizes and activities. Second by Laura
Marlowe. Approved.
- Neighborhood consignment
sale donated $150.00 to CNA.
NEWSLETTER:
- Discussion on inclusions
such as: Association dues, Deed of Restrictions, regulations re: Boats,
Cars, Signs, RV’s, etc.
- Clubhouse rental Attendant
to be highlighted.
- Request for volunteers to
be included.
OTHER BUSINESS:
- Motion by Sherry
Quisenberry to hire Kim Stinnet as the Clubhouse Reservation attendant for
8 hrs. per week. Second by Susan Potter. Approved.
