Minutes of Meeting
Copperfield Neighborhood Association
May 4, 2004
CALL TO ORDER: 6:25 by James Wagers. The following board members were
present: James Wagers-President, Susan Potter-Treasurer, Laura
Marlowe-Secretary, Larry Young-Facilities Chairman, Mark Yates-Property
Manager, and Charlie Gancio-Social Director.
MINUTES: April 6, 2004
Minutes reviewed. Motion to approve minutes by Charlie Gancio, Second by Susan
Potter. Approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
- Central Bank account
balance: $88,690.87
- $7,933.50 still due for
2004 CNA dues
- $1,800.00 still due for
2003 CNA dues
- Third notices for the 2004
CNA dues to be mailed at end of May.
- Motion by Susan Potter to
approve Jacki Nickodem to be the neighborhood bookkeeper, Second by
Charlie Gancio. Approved
- James meeting with
Attorney re: Past due Association Dues. James will contact Attorney at
end of June to move forward with the liens.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:
- Entertainment Center for Clubhouse is finished.
- Interviews for Clubhouse
Attendant are in process. James will place an ad in the Herald-Leader for
this position.
- New Reader panel is being
installed in a couple of weeks for the message board.
FACILITIES COMMITTEE:
- Minutes from secretary to
be posted in the book at the Clubhouse and on the web page.
- Pool memberships stand at
100 to date with several inquiries coming in.
- 2004 Pool Season to open
on May 29th.
- Pump room maintenance is
being done and is ongoing.
- Summer events are being
planned for parties and extended hours.
- Motion by Laura Marlowe
for the Facilities Committee to set up a Concession Stand in the Utility
Room during the Pool Season. Second by Susan Potter. Motion Approved.
- Motion by Mark Yates to
allow up to 10 outside non-pool members to join the Swim team. Second by
Charlie Gancio. Motion approved. No pool privileges will be allowed for
these swimmers outside of practice and meets.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE:
- Friday Night Flicks will
resume in September.
- Neighborhood consignment
sale final $’s will be available by next meeting. Minimum of $50.00 to be
donated to CNA. Also, tentative date for next sale to be announced.
- Annual Neighborhood Garage
Sale scheduled for May 14th and 15th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.
- Charlie Gancio is working
on a BIG EVENT for Fourth of July activities.
OTHER BUSINESS:
- Past Pool Memberships to
be reviewed to assist in estimating potential for this season.
- Pool Membership Drive Open
house volunteers for May 15 from 1:00
PM to 5:00 PM.
