Copperfield Neighborhood Association
April 6, 2004
CALL TO ORDER: 6:30 by James Wagers. The following board members were
present: James Wagers-President, Susan Potter-Treasurer, Laura
Marlowe-Secretary, Larry Young-Facilities Chairman, Sherry Quisenberry-Board
Facilitator, Mark Yates-Property Manager, and Charlie Gancio-Social Director.
Others present: Jeremy Scarbrough, Kathy Cloin, Beth Tibbitts.
MINUTES: March 2, 2004 Minutes reviewed. Motion by Laura
Marlowe, Second by Larry Young. Approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
- Central Bank account
balance: $86,828.86
- $13,180.00 still due for
2004 CNA dues
- $1,800.00 still due for
2003 CNA dues
- Susan Potter mailed second
notices for the 2004 CNA dues
- Susan Potter researching
the possibility of an outside source to do the neighborhood books on a
continuous basis to maintain continuity of system from one Board to the
next.
ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES:
- James is receiving three
bids on Insurance for the Facilities.
- Lawn Care and Pool
contracts are complete.
- Pool membership drive is
ongoing and to date, 32 memberships have been received.
WEBSITE:
- Beth Tibbitts reports the
CNA Website activity at an average of 400-500 visits/month.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:
- 2004 Budget for Board
approval is pending.
- Dellavale contract expires
on 4/30/04.
- Drop Box installation is
complete.
- Entertainment center for
Clubhouse is under construction.
FACILITIES COMMITTEE:
- Copperfield Swim Club
account balance: $8,298.64.
- Basement: shelving is
completed, with further clean-up to take place.
- Pump room repair
estimates: ongoing.
- Lexington Pools is working
with Facilities committee on a 5 year Plan for renovations to the pool
facilities.
- Motion by Mark Yates to
approve $250.00 for use in refurbishing the Neighborhood Grill, second by
Sherry Quisenberry. Motion approved.
- Motion by Larry Young to
approve $452.62 for replacement of Tennis
Court nets and hardware, Second
by Susan Potter. Motion approved.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE:
- Next Friday Night Flicks:
April 16th.
- Easter Egg Hunt had a very
large attendance with beautiful weather contributing to the success.
- Neighborhood consignment
sale scheduled at the Clubhouse on April 24th and 25th.
- Annual Neighborhood Garage
Sale scheduled for May 14th and 15th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.
An ad will be placed in the Herald-Leader.
- Fourth of July activities
are underway.
OTHER BUSINESS:
- Audit of CNA books:
ongoing.
- Motion by Mark Yates to
approve the Gancio house sunroom addition plans, Second by Larry Young.
Motion approved.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Charlie Gancio, Second by Laura Marlowe,
adjourned at 8:50 P.M. by James Wagers, President.
